Bimbo Canada is a market leading producer and distributor of packaged fresh bread, bakery and snacking products with brands such as Dempster's, Villaggio, POM, Bon Matin, Ben's, Stonemill, McGavins, Oroweat, Vachon and Takis.

The company operates 17 bakeries and employs approximately 4,200 associates across Canada. Bimbo Canada pursues the goal of creating value by being at the forefront of manufacturing and service delivery innovation in the baking industry through the continued improvement and refinement of its supply chain network.

Bimbo Canada serves major grocery chains, retail outlets and food service operations across Canada with a robust offering of both branded and private label products.

WHAT WILL YOUR NEW ROLE LOOK LIKE?

The Vice President, Marketing, is a strategic position for a seasoned marketer with strong leadership skills who will lead the marketing team across the entire spectrum of marketing activities, encompassing demand generation through the consumer journey, brand management including strategy, consumer communication, innovation, and product life cycle.

You will advocate for and embed a culture of collaboration, innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the marketing team and across the organization.

As a consumer-centric thinker and key member of the executive team, you will collaborate closely with leaders in other functions locally and across the global organization to create a deeper connection between brands and consumers, achieve ambitious business objectives and contribute to the long-term success of the company. #LI-Hybrid #LI-LM1

WHAT YOU'LL BE FOCUSING ON

Developing Profitable, Sustainable Marketing Strategies

Establish the marketing department's strategic vision, setting clear priorities, key performance indicators (KPIs), goals, and a roadmap that supports overarching business objectives.

Build and develop a best-in-class marketing team that can partner effectively with a growth-focused and fast-paced business and capitalize on opportunities locally and globally.

Develop and implement comprehensive short and long-term marketing strategies that build upon and support the brand promise of products, and that align with the company's overall strategic vision in both commercial bread and snacking.

Being Passionate about Brands

Convert consumer insights into commercially viable strategic plans and initiatives that build market share and consumer loyalty.

Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of fresh marketing initiatives and campaigns, keeping an eye on the most relevant trends and issues through well-grounded consumer insights and verifiable analytics.

Bring an innovative mindset and apply a 360-degree marketing approach to drive and launch impactful product offerings, guaranteeing they align with strategic goals and brand vision.

Leading the Business through Transformational Change that Delights Customers & Consumers

Utilize strategic agility to capitalize on the significant changes happening in the industry and implement transformational change initiatives that align with strategic objectives and cause minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.

Understand customer and consumer needs and tailor innovation and revenue growth strategies to address the unique and ever-changing environment.

Ensure the highest level of customer and consumer satisfaction and retention.

Collaborating Cross-functionally

Build and nurture strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including sales, product development, supply chain, finance and with agencies - both within Canada and globally - enhancing the marketing department's impact through strategic cross-functional collaboration.

Be an active listener who understands and communicates openly while engaging in healthy debate.

Managing Talent with a Long-Term Vision

Build a high-performing team at multiple levels. Define succession plans for key roles. Provide coaching, mentorship, support, and professional development opportunities for team members to ensure they meet or exceed targets and capitalize on their full potential as individuals.

Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales organization.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Book Smarts & Street Smarts

You have a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; an MBA / EMBA or advanced degree is a bonus.

You've spent at least 15 years in progressively responsible senior roles across the different disciplines of the marketing function and have proven ability and passion to lead the strategic planning process and build ready-to-execute marketing strategies.

You appreciate the importance of experience in the FMCG space, ideally in the grocery / food industry and have your finger on the pulse of the most current marketing trends.

And, if you can speak French and / or Spanish, that capability would be an asset.
