Job description

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing / controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

We are looking for positive and team-oriented individual to join our Mount Pearl distribution centre to support our team for a 6 month contract (with potential for permanency).

Join our Operations team to make an impact by receiving and putting away medical products as well as fulfilling orders while servicing clients in the Health Care industry.

Hourly rate : $20.60

Working hours : Monday to Friday 8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm

Contract duration : 6 months (potential of permanency after contract end date)

Your Contributions to the Organization will be :

  • Picking & preparing health care products for customers
  • Processing incoming shipments and putting away orders to proper locations
  • Ensuring accuracy and verifying quality of products being picked / received
  • Actively participating in continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Operating all types of warehouse mobile equipment; training provided
  • Sorting packaging materials and process items for recycling.
  • Ensuring a clean & orderly working environment to improve overall efficiency of operations
