Your Opportunity
In the capacity of Aviation Engineering Project Manager, you will interface directly with clients and stakeholders to effectively grow market footprint within the province of Ontario.
This will include the management and delivery of aviation engineering projects, with a focus on quality and team collaboration.
It would also tasks relating to business development, client account plans as well as team management and leadership. You will be supporting a number of our interconnected Airport and Aviation teams including Industrial Hangar Buildings, Terminal Architecture, Airside and Landside Infrastructure Engineering on a National and International Level, including transportation, airports, buildings, industrial, pipelines and water teams.

Through your broad consulting background, you will perform a variety of tasks which may include design & design management, business planning, project management, client account management, resource planning, proposal writing, and quality management.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Undertake project management of Airport-specific assignments.
- Manages the design and construction of projects and provides input where needed.
- Liaise with clients as required.
- Support the overall Airport and Aviation Sector for business development, proposal writing and project execution.
- Performs complex engineering design tasks on assigned projects, as either the Project Lead or Subject Matter Expert, which may include preparation of engineering calculations, drawings and reports.
Involvement in the permitting process of projects, which may require meeting with clients, contractors and reviewing agency personnel, with the aim of seeking necessary approvals.
- Mentoring of and technical development of junior designers and EIT's.
- May be responsible for the review and sealing of own projects or the work of the others.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
The successful candidate will possess the following :
- Project Management Professional Designation PMP is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as good relationship building skills with respect to your interactions with team members, clients and contractors.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word and Excel is required.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Infraworks, MicroStation, InRoads and other design software will be considered an asset.
- Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines while work independently.
- A strong work ethic with the desire to excel and to achieve.
- Willingness to learn and a motivated team player.
Education and Experience
- 10 years of experience in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent degree.
- Civil Engineering Technology diploma or university degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registered Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario PEO or with The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists and Technicians.
