Job Description
Maskwacis Health Services (MHS) is accepting resumes for a Full Time Communications Coordinator. If you meet these requirements, we encourage you to apply. The communications coordinator shall be responsible for all MHS advertising. This shall include the creation & distribution of the MHS newsletter, coordinating & providing live radio board casts, program advertising on Public Electronic Billboards, updating Social Media sites, event coverage, reporting on MHS and community events, create event posters and distribution of public/community notices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations; or proven relevant work experience
- Maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
- Professional & Courteous.
- Well Organized, reliable and punctual.
- The ability to adapt to new technology and the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
- Knowledge of the Cree language and culture an asset.
- Must have own or reliable transportation.
Other Requirements
- Possess valid Class 5 AB driver’s license and own or access to a vehicle.
- Willingness and ability to work after hours and/or weekends when required.
- Successful completion of First Aid.
- Willing to work flexible schedule.
- Must provide and possess a clear criminal record vulnerable sector check.
- Ability to speak and/or understand the Cree language (or another applicable First Nation language) would be beneficial.
