Buffalo Trail Public Schools requires a full-time temporary teacher for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. The teaching assignment will include grade 8-9 English Language Arts (ELA) and additional duties as assigned by the principal.

Subject Areas : Grade 8-9 English Language Arts (ELA), experience teaching secondary ELA an asset, regardless of specialization, all are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will possess the following :
A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
Experience and / or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential
Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning
Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students
Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator
A willingness to participate in extracurricular activities would be considered an asset
