Job description :

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data & Analytics Digital Transformation, you will be providing key technical expertise to acquire, investigate, manipulate and analyze data to support Allstate Canada Group’s business plans and results. The candidate will require an in-depth understanding of the data structure and environment and understand the implications from the day-to-day insurance business. The candidate will also be asked to foster efficiency, bring forward creative solutions and create awareness around potential benefits for other initiatives and units. The candidate will be expected to be proactive in developing a network of key collaborators and to be willing to think outside of the box and push the projects a step further. Help design and provide requirements for new or improved analytics and reporting

Qualifications :

Demonstrated experience applying analytical techniques to solve business problems and support data-driven decision making. Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate insights in both technical and non-technical terms. Proactive, curious mindset with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new data models and evolving environments. Hands-on experience with modern analytics ecosystems and methodologies (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance). Proficiency in SAS / SQL programming for data development, cleansing, validation, integrity checks, and process optimization.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Allstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations. Relevant du directeur principal, données et transformation numérique de l’analytique, le ou la titulaire de ce poste participera à l’acquisition, à l’enquête, à la manipulation et à l’analyse de données en y apportant une expertise technique clé en vue de permettre au Groupe Allstate du Canada d’obtenir les meilleurs résultats possibles et de soutenir ses plans d’affaires. La personne devra avoir une connaissance approfondie de la structure et de l’environnement des données et une bonne compréhension des activités quotidiennes du secteur de l’assurance. Elle devra également favoriser l’efficacité, proposer des solutions novatrices et faire valoir les avantages potentiels de ces dernières auprès d’autres unités d’affaires ou pour d’autres projets. Enfin, cette personne devra être proactive et se développer un réseau de collaborateurs clés, en plus d’être prête à sortir des sentiers battus pour faire avancer les projets.

Aider à concevoir et à présenter des exigences visant l’amélioration ou la création de méthodes d’analyse et de suivi.

Exigences :

Expérience démontrée dans l’application de techniques analytiques pour résoudre des problèmes d’affaires et soutenir la prise de décisions fondée sur les données; Expérience pratique avec les écosystèmes et méthodologies analytiques modernes (par exemple : lacs de données, entrepôts de données, minientrepôts de données, processus d’extraction, de transformation et de chargement de données, modélisation des données et gouvernance des données);Expérience en programmation SAS / SQL visant le développement, le nettoyage et la validation de données ainsi que les vérifications de l’intégrité et l’optimisation de processus;
