JOB OVERVIEW
At KF Aerospace we are looking for a Data Analyst who excels in designing, developing, and maintaining our business intelligence solutions using best practices.
They will work closely with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, business analysts, information systems team members, and the wider KF Aerospace team.
We primarily work with Power BI, Power BI Report Server and Service, and SQL Server in our data environment. The Data Analyst will be responsible for using these data related technologies to build appropriate solutions, as well as analyzing the resulting datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
The Data Analyst will need to work with a variety of our systems and processes including our ERP, internally developed applications, and various other supporting and integrated systems.
The Data Analyst will continuously research and identify new technologies to assist in improving our business intelligence solutions.
The Data Analyst must clearly communicate and collaborate with the KF Aerospace team to successfully deliver the solution that is required.
The Data Analyst will also provide expert knowledge to assist others in interpreting and improving data solutions.
The Data Analyst will play a key role on a variety of information systems related projects across diverse business units within KF Aerospace including maintenance, supply chain management, finance, information systems, and others.
We aim to ensure our business intelligence solutions are correct, intuitive, and performant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement well designed, efficient, and reusable data solutions such as reports and dashboards using business intelligence best practices, ensuring the solutions meet the needs of stakeholders.
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights that can inform business strategies and drive decision-making.
- Communicate and collaborate highly effectively within cross-functional teams and across diverse business units.
- Interpret data findings and develop strategies based on these insights.
- Work with the Data Engineer to recommend and / or assist with the improvement of our data architecture such as common data sets, data flows and transform pipelines, etc.
- Develop and maintain monitoring reports, dashboards, and deployment pipelines and ensure that they are running efficiently, diagnosing, and correcting errors when discovered;
ensuring that they are optimized for performance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data analysis, data models, and data solutions.
- Assist with the knowledge transfer of data analysis solutions and approaches with the rest of the team (via solution review, technical meetings, pair development, etc.).
- Stay up to date with existing and emerging technologies and trends in data analysis and business intelligence. Contribute to the advancement of KF Aerospace’s technical solutions.
- Train and mentor team members, power users, and end-users on the effective use of data tools and analytical techniques.
- Adhere to and contribute to the policies, standards, and guidelines established by the team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Certification or degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Two or more years of experience in an equivalent Data Analyst role.
- Two or more years of experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools.
- Two or more years of advanced SQL skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing, data cleansing, and data transformation techniques.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business and Information Systems stakeholders.
- Exposure to corporate ERP systems, processes, and their underlying data would be an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with new technologies and trends.
