Full-Time Jr. High Generalist Teacher - 2025-2026

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.0 f.t.e.) Jr. High Generalist Teacher at Menno Simmons Community School. This position will commence on August 27, 2025. The initial assignment may include Grades 7-9 core subjects. Some flexibility in assignment exists depending on the successful applicant's talents and interests. Division housing may be available for school staff. Menno Simons Community School (MSCS) is the most westerly located school within Peace River School Division. We are located approximately 100 kilometers west of Fairview on Highway 64 in the small hamlet of Cleardale. MSCS is a K-12 school of approximately 60 students. MSCS offers a public school program in accordance with the prescribed Alberta Curriculum and also maintains a sensitivity toward the distinct cultural needs of many within our community. Click to learn more about Menno Simons Community School.The Hamlet of Cleardale is approximately 29 kms east of British Columbia boarder and 200 kms north of the City of Grande Prairie.Qualifications : Experience and / or training in teaching junior high subjects Excellent communications skills with students, staff and parents Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students’ achievement Strong classroom management skills a keen understanding of assessment practices The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom Requirements : Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Provide an acceptance current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (please note, record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application).
