Oxford Learning Calgary Sage Hill has an opening for an upbeat, passionate, committed, enthusiastic, and dynamic French teacher who seeks work in a rewarding teaching environment. Our French Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits. Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable teaching students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in French.

Tutor‑teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher‑Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school and evening hours (4 : 00 pm – 8 : 00 pm) as well as Saturdays (10 : 00 am – 1 : 00 pm). A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 8 level. The candidate is required to instruct class sessions in French. This role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• University students with tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current elementary French core curriculum
