  • Site : Burin Peninsula Healthcare Centre & Surrounding Areas
  • Overtime : Overtime after 48 hours
  • Hours : As Needed
  • Payrate : $19.90 / hour
  • Posting Date : December 29, 2025
  • External Closing Date : January 31, 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol Hospital Grounds : Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure safety and security.
  • Monitor Surveillance Systems : Operate security cameras and alarm systems, reporting suspicious activity immediately.
  • Access Control : Monitor and control entry points to the hospital.
  • Respond to Emergencies : Act quickly in emergency situations, assist hospital staff.
  • Provide Customer Service : Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff.
  • Conflict Resolution : De‑escalate tense situations and resolve conflicts calmly.
  • Report Writing : Document daily activities, incidents, and breaches.
  • Collaboration with Hospital Staff : Work closely with staff and local law enforcement.
  • Enforce Hospital Policies : Ensure hospital policies are followed.

    • Prerequisites

  • Valid Code of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a CSA‑approved vendor)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver License & willingness to drive to sites within reasonable distance
  • English (oral and written) fluency
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred
  • Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB); if lacking, may opt into Paladin’s UoF / MOAB training program prior to onboarding, which will be covered by Paladin with a 6‑month commitment.
