The Hardware Design department is responsible for providing hardware solutions for all our training devices. Our multidisciplinary team, trained and dedicated to its task, has vast know-how in many sectors such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and electronic engineering.
Our main mission is to design, customize and manage the development of cost-effective and innovative hardware solutions aligned with strategic plans and our client’s requirements. We are set to deliver highly technological products and services that are part of a digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the analysis of drawings, specifications, and requirements from both internal / external customers.
- Assist in the definition of the simulator equipment configuration, and produce equipment lists, wiring diagrams, and electrical system schematics required to stimulate this equipment in a simulation environment.
- Participate in design activities between engineering groups as well as manufacturing.
- Define and prepare technical documentation and drawings for simulated panels / instruments.
- Support third-party suppliers and vendors.
- Participate in technical and conformance evaluations for simulated panels / instruments.
- Participate in requirement and design reviews (PDRs, CDRs).
- Participate in estimates.
- Provide technical solutions to meet project requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts.Good working knowledge of CAD systems and word processing / spreadsheet software.Good technical writing and communication skills.Experience with electrical, avionic, and power systems.Experience with simulated panel and instrument interfaces.Experience with electrical signal distribution / interconnection technology, interface packaging, and power supply / distribution.Manage priorities in the context of multiple and complex project deliveries.Knowledge of aircraft instrumentation, D / A A / D conversion, serial communication data busses such as RS-232 / 422, USB, and of the ARINC 429, ARINC 600, and Mil-1553 standards would be considered an asset.Experience with E2A, SEE Electrical, and Powerdraft, an asset.Bilingualism required.
