Pickering Casino Resort seeks a Full‑time Security Supervisor to supervise Security Officers and maintain a secure gaming environment. The role includes hiring, training, performance evaluation, asset protection, first aid and compliance with AGCO regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a shift team of Security Officers, fostering safety and efficiency.
- Assist with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition and development.
- Protect company assets and report and arrest criminals, ensuring peace and order for guests and employees.
- Provide first aid and medical attention as required.
- Maintain strong presence on the gaming floor to manage people, interact with customers and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with AGCO regulations, licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Perform crowd control, patrols, transaction observation, chip fills, guest self‑exclusion program enrollment and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
People‑focused and committed to service excellence.Proactive and solution‑oriented with a drive to succeed.A minimum of a post‑secondary diploma in Law, Security or related field.A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field.Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.Working knowledge of computer application packages.A current First Aid / CPR Certificate, along with Non‑Violent Intervention Technique Certificate.Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.Must successfully complete the EMR course.Bilingualism considered an asset.Smart Serve certification.Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service‑oriented communication.Schedule
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
