FR Metal is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting and compliance requirements. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong hands-on experience in QuickBooks Desktop and Canadian payroll and tax filings. The position is urgent and requires immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop
Handle GST/HST calculations filings and reconciliations
Process payroll including deductions and remittances
Manage WSIB reporting and payments
Administer Employer Health Tax (EHT) filings
Prepare and submit corporate tax filings to the GRA
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting and tax regulations
Support management with financial reports as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience
QuickBooks Desktop is mandatory (QB Online will not be sufficient)
Proven experience with:
GST / HST
Payroll & statutory remittances
WSIB
EHT
Corporate tax submissions to GRA
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills
Experience in manufacturing or construction-related industries
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Professional communication skills
