Job descriptionVarious locations Professionalism in customer service Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Perform brake adjustments Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Accident or incident reports Bill of lading Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Maintenance and repair reports Trip reports Tractor-trailer Citizens band (CB) radio Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Trip recorder (on-board computer) Driving record check (abstract) Valid driver's licence Willing to travel for extended periods Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Steel-toed safety boots Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Bonus Group insurance benefits Life insurance a permanent resident of Canada a temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit
