Sonographer {OPSEU CS-26-017}

Position: Sonographer
Department: Diagnostic Imaging
Duration Approximately Nine (9) Months

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

• Member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario, registered as DMS is required
• BLS-HCP Certificate
• Experience in all aspects of general ultrasound required

Skills/Abilities:

• Strong organizational skills required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient focused care delivery
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development
• Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
• Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
• Good attendance and work record required
• Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
