Senior Finance Partner – Global Function Finance (GFF), fixed term, up to 8 months
As a Senior Finance Partner, you will play a strategic role and will be a key member of the Global Functions Finance Unit. The role reports directly into the Finance Director Global Function Finance Unit.
In this role you will coordinate month-end activities, planning cycles and budget management for Global Functions Finance. You will also provide strong leadership and support to the Senior Finance Director Global Functions Finance.
Key responsibilities :
Finance Partnering and managing OPEX, CAPEX and projects for the Global Functions – A&A (Audit & Assurance), CGA (Comms & Government Affairs) and Corporate Functions
Highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance; approve monthly reports, budgets, plans and forecasts and provide commentary on key variances / business drivers and any actions required
Oversee the month-end closing process for actual financials, ensuring a thorough and accurate representation of the function’s financial standing is presented to senior stakeholders
Lead a Junior Finance Partner and provide support to the Finance Director by proactively identifying opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives and mitigate risks
Provide financial and strategic advice to members of the GFF LT, the SVPs / VPs in CGA, A&A and Corporate Functions, and their departments to actively contribute to delivery of overall financial performance
Lead the planning cycles for the respective Global Functions; work with the functions to prepare and consolidate global actuals, budgets, and forecasts - including action plans to achieve required savings, insightful commentary and identification of risks and opportunities
Drive cost consciousness, increasing engagement and skills development amongst budget holders
Assist with resource allocation and investment decision support, particularly around projects
Oversee the execution of financial controls and interaction with the internal and external auditors
Support to drive the digital agenda
University degree e.g. Financials, Accounting, IT, Economy or related discipline
Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MBA or equivalent)
Significant experience in financial controlling, financial reporting, or financial audit roles with a deep understanding of management reporting and financial planning
Able to build relationships and influence at the highest levels of the business and think strategically in order to effectively partner non-finance stakeholders to support the execution of their business plans
Ability to lead diverse teams and work within a global organization across a matrix environment with cross-functional stakeholders
Experience in finance business partnering with senior business stakeholders
Demonstrates excellent judgment and reliability in the most high-stress situations
Excellent negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills. Strong influencing skill
Cultural sensitivity
Excellent English spoken and written
