Job Title : CNC Field Service Technician

Job Description

The CNC Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for traveling to client sites, answering client questions and concerns, replacing, installing, and troubleshooting machines.

The role involves making machine adjustments and completing machine accuracy testing procedures to reverse engineer problems.

The technician is also expected to have knowledge of high-speed machining processes and be capable of machine installation, equipment certification, and preventative maintenance.

Hard Skills

• Experience with mill / lathe CNC machines
• Technical Education : Apprenticeship, Technical College, or University Degree
• Minimum +3 years of technician experience, troubleshooting, debugging and installation of a CNC machine
• Familiarity with ladder editing
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls
• Knowledge of machine adjustments (geometry, level etc.)

Work Environment

Most of the work involves traveling to customer sites in the area of Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Brampton, North York, Scarborough.

The role involves plant and customer site visits, which could be one or three customer visits a day depending on work that needs to be completed.

With driving, the work hours are approximately 50 hours a week.

Shift

The work shift is 8 : 30AM-5 : 00PM.

Salary

The pay ranges from $80,000 / year to $105,000 / year with overtime pay available after 42 hours.
