Job descriptionHandles all delivery operations (packaging, labeling, loading, unloading, delivery). Move heavy loads such as furniture and building materials Operate a full-size van, cube van and forklift (training can be provided for forklift) Transports merchandise, packages or purchases as directed by the buyer / dispatcher . Plan and organize routes according to traffic schedules and / or site arrival times and / or opening hours for timely arrival. Maintenance and inspection of delivery vehicle(s) and forklift (tire inflation, cleanliness, oil changes, gasoline, etc.). Ensure the goods for delivery corresponds to the related Waybill Ensure that the Waybill is signed by the customer or the person responsible for receiving the goods. Call contact person indicated on the Waybill prior to departure to confirm delivery information and advise that goods are on route. Ensures safe transport of all goods Maintain continuous communication with the dispatcher. Maintain daily logbook. Assist at warehouse and / or other related duties Organizational skills, good sense of direction and physical fit Strong customer service skills Can work independently or in a team Ability to work under pressure. Can maintain a sense of urgency Strong communications skills Carry heavy loads
DELIVERY PERSON AT EXPOZONE
The delivery person works under the direction of the buyer / dispatcher and reports to the department manager. Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driving record .
N.B. - Very important
- Maintain continuous communication with the dispatcher.
