Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Tool and Die Maker to join our team!

This position requires a qualified individual with strong troubleshooting abilities and a keen eye for precision, responsible for maintaining, modifying, and repairing progressive dies and related tooling.

Location - Vaughan

Shift - Rotating Shift (3 weeks days 7am-3pm 1 week afternoons 3-11pm)

Pay - $35+ depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Support shift operations with open action items, changeovers, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform routine inspections of crane and toolroom equipment.
  • Operate toolroom machinery safely and effectively + maintain 5S standards
  • Troubleshoot and repair progressive dies and related tooling, adhering to tight tolerances and blueprint specifications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Assist with the tooling process to meet customer requirements and production schedules.
  • Qualifications

  • Certificate of Qualification as a Tool and Die Maker.
  • Knowledge of progressive die design and function.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, operating manuals + procedure documents.
  • Valid Crane Operator / Forklift license.
  • CNC equipment experience, TIG welding
