Plant Operator Regulated Medical Waste (330pm 200am)

And then we kept going...

We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for our Daniels medical waste treatment facility in Brampton. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role from checking in containers double checking paperwork moving / unloading specific waste containers and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.

What will your job involve

• Receiving and processing of the various waste streams.
• Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes.
• Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
• Ensures that all waste is properly processed and / or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.
• Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes.
• Ensures housekeeping issues e.g. spills cleaned up floor is dry and debris not on floor etc. are addressed immediately.
• Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations Supervisor
