Job Summary :
The kitchen ventilation design technician applies the principles and practices of technical design, and is responsible for the projects entrusted to him / her.
He plays an important role throughout the life cycle of the products he designs, from conception to production and withdrawal from the market.
Job responsabilities :
- Imaging and creating concepts and prototypes.
- Perform tests and write test reports.
- Create computer-aided design models, drawings, reports and related documentation.
- Produce technical drawings and apply the principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD & T).
- Analyze the accumulation of tolerances on complex assemblies.
- Examine, interpret, annotate or modify technical drawings.
- Reformulate existing products to improve performance, reduce costs or comply with standards.
- Participate in product evaluation and validation activities.
- Write and manage engineering change notices as part of the work process.
Job requirements :
- DEC in mechanical engineering.
- At least one year's relevant experience in product development
- Knowledge of 3D design software.
- Knowledge of CREO (Pro-Engineer), an asset.
- Experience in mechanical design and integration of electromechanical components.
- Ability to understand complex sets of requirements and apply them to product creation.
- Experience in managing material and product BOM structures.
- Knowledge of a product data management system.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in the Office Suite.
- Initiative, team spirit, creativity, autonomy and ability to manage priorities.
