The Early Childhood Educator is responsible to provide quality, caring and supportive child care programming to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years of age and ensuring all regulatory standards are met. The Child Care facility is licensed for up to 90 children, the ECE reports to the Director of the Child Care Centre.

Key responsibilities for this position include :

1) Contribute to the ongoing operations of the Centre and assigned duties.

2) Ensure the child’s environment is healthy and safe by following the Child Centre’s procedures

3) Guidance of children’s behavior that encourages positive self concept and facilitate developmentally

appropriate activities and experiences.

4) Provide positive communication with parents and share progress with parents.

Successful candidates must possess a diploma in Early Childhood Education or Saskatchewan equivalency of ECE Level I, II, or III. Current First Aide / CPR certification and Safe Food Handler’s course is a requirement. Individuals will also possess excellent interpersonal skills with parents, colleagues and community stakeholders, along with a mature and responsible attitude with a willingness to work flexible hours.
