Position Summary
Base Salary : 52,500 CAD + Profit Sharing. Full‑time salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing. Successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada for training; relocation assistance will be provided. We have opportunities across the country.
Role and Program Outline
As a Management Trainee, you will progress through a four‑phase program to learn every aspect of how our business operates – from shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management to employee development and more. You will grow a sales territory of your own and provide world‑class customer service. Guidance, mentoring and support from current managers and teammates across Canada will help you build a successful management career at EMCO.
Program Outline :
- Phase 1 : Warehouse and Customer Service – Build product knowledge and gain hands‑on experience with the logistics side of the business and learn how our products get from vendor to customer. You will also get involved in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements and more.
- Phase 2 : Customer Relationships and Procurement – Transition from helping customers with service issues to managing large‑scale projects and problem solving. Build relationships with customers and vendors, provide world‑class service, and learn to read blueprint drawings to create a quote for the materials the customer will need.
- Phase 3 : Account Management and Proactive Sales – Focus on business development : find new opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts to expand the customer base, and create level‑5 customer partnerships.
- Phase 4 : Leadership and Operations – Provide a strategic vision, lead a team, mentor others, and run the business while developing leadership competencies and supporting the team through coaching and mentoring.
Once you have completed the training phases, you will be ready to take on the challenge of becoming a manager at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.
