Overview
STS Technical Services is hiring an MRO Maintenance Representative in Windsor-Essex, Canada. This role is responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of C-Check and Heavy Maintenance operations for Mesa Airlines. You will ensure maintenance activities meet quality and FAA regulatory standards while maintaining strict financial and labor oversight. The position requires close collaboration with maintenance providers, inspection personnel, and company leadership to keep aircraft airworthy, serviceable, and compliant with Mesa Airlines’ General Procedures Manual (GPM).
General
- Oversee and manage all aspects of C-Check and Heavy Maintenance check activities
- Ensure compliance with Mesa Airlines’ General Procedures Manual (GPM) and FAA requirements
- Supervise financial and labor controls related to maintenance projects
- Perform assigned inspection functions to confirm aircraft airworthiness and serviceability
Specific Duties
Approve labor and man-hour estimates for all check activityMonitor routine and non-routine work to ensure completion to quality standardsReview and approve invoices prior to final billing; resolve discrepancies with providersCoordinate on-site inspection and materials personnel during check activityPrepare for incoming and outgoing aircraft (pre-induction and post-visit reviews)Review CASS data with check providers to monitor quality of completed workConfirm all work is performed by qualified, authorized, and approved personnelManage costs, track savings, and report to senior managementInspect job progress, procedures, and maintenance documentation for complianceAudit completed maintenance records for accuracy and regulatory complianceEnsure maintenance providers submit original aircraft documents to Technical Records on timePerform receiving inspections of materials / equipment for proper certificationReview and approve major / minor repair orders for use on company aircraftMonitor station work orders, inventory, tool life, and shelf-life programsConduct and oversee company-required and recurrent training for contracted personnelEnsure accurate task tracking in the PMI system, including deferred tasks and life-limited partsPerform audits of maintenance providers for compliance with Mesa policies and GPM requirementsEnforce shift turnover and work interruption proceduresEnsure use of current technical data during maintenance activitiesOversee proper tagging of aircraft componentsEnsure compliance with the Company Read & Initial programMonitor providers for compliance with FAA Service Difficulty Reporting (SDR) proceduresPerform in-process inspections of contracted maintenance personnelCarry out additional duties as assigned by the Manager of MRO ServicesQualifications
FAA Mechanic’s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratingsMeets requirements of 14 CFR § 65.83Minimum 1 year of experience returning aircraft to serviceMinimum 3 years of supervisory experience maintaining aircraft similar to Mesa Airlines’ fleetMinimum 1 year of inspection / maintenance experience on large aircraft (10+ passenger seats) with an air carrier or certified repair stationEquivalent education and experience may be consideredAbility to work varied shiftsAbility to travel frequently (up to 60%) and accept temporary duty assignmentsMust successfully pass initial and random drug screeningsAbout STS Technical Services
