We are seeking a Full-Time Fire Alarm Service Inspection Technician to add to the team. The Technician performs all service and testing activities as assigned, and ensures that all service calls are completed according to the prescribed guidelines and processes. The Technician at times may need to assist with installations. Additionally, the Technician is required to complete assigned paperwork and billing materials within the allocated time. This role requires travel within British Columbia, mostly within 1-2 hours distance and some overnight stays for remote clients.

Key Responsibilities :
Perform inspection activities on electrical fire alarm systems.Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software / systems, programs, schematics and operational / product manuals.Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer specifications.Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problemsProvide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost-effective methods to return equipment to working order.Requirements and Skills :
Technicians must have Fire Alarm – CFAA certifiedTechnicians shall have Backflow – BCWATechnicians shall have Extinguishers – ASTTBCTechnicians shall have Emergency Lighting – ASTTBCTechnicians shall have ASTTBC RFPT Certification or comparable qualificationPossess a valid and clean motor vehicle licenseTechnicians shall have experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Alarm industryAbility to communicate in English both verbally and in writingAbility to lift equipment and tools up to 40 lbs and climb ladders and scaffoldingExcellent Customer ServiceCustomer service focused with ability to adapt to changing customer needsYou have a desire to problem-solve and help the customer meet their needs.You demonstrate a professional and pleasant attitude when faced with a frustrated customerBasic computer skills are a requirementInspection, maintenance, repairs and small add on’s of Fire alarm systemsFire extinguisher inspection.Emergency light testing.Technicians with Sprinklers System testing Certification–ASTTBC is a plusTechnicians with Suppression Training – ASTTBC + Manufacturer Certifications is a plusKitchen suppression certification a plusManlift certification is an asset.Commitment to Quality
