Title   – Web Analytics Analyst

Duration : 12 months Contract with extension possibility

Work Environment : 5 days  in Mississauga office

Hours : 37.5 working hours per week

Key Responsibilities :

• Understanding the eCommerce business is crucial to aligning analytics strategies with company goals.

Proficiency with tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 360 ensures accurate data collection, insights generation, and reporting.

Identifying KPIs and tracking them effectively.

Creating tailored reports, including custom dimensions, segments, and goals, allows stakeholders to get precise insights into performance metrics.

Continuous communication with product owners and business stakeholders ensures that analytics requirements are understood and met.

Collaborating with the web analytics team for efficient tag management, including QA (Quality Assurance) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

Ensuring that data is accurate and trustworthy is a cornerstone of any analytics strategy.

Validating data accuracy across reports to guarantee stakeholders receive correct insights.

Post-project analysis helps identify areas for improvement, providing the opportunity for optimization in future initiatives.

Balancing multiple projects while ensuring they’re completed on time and meet quality standards requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Developing presentations and reports with tools like PowerPoint or Keynote to communicate findings and data in an understandable format.

Bridging business and technical requirements ensures that both perspectives are considered when implementing analytics tools or improving existing systems.

Assessing and closing gaps in current solutions and ensuring data solutions are scalable and effective.

Identifying and fixing issues related to system performance ensures that analytics tools work smoothly and that the data remains accurate.

Working on data pipelines and enhancing automated test cases streamlines processes and ensures data accuracy is maintained throughout.

Following coding best practices ensures maintainability and scalability of the analytics solution.

Improving deployment practices minimizes risks and ensures faster rollouts for new features and improvements.

Technical Skills :

Undergrad or Master’s degree in computer science, Business Analytics or related quantitative fields shows a strong foundation in both analytical thinking and technical problem-solving.

At least 5+ years of extensive, hands-on experience implementing Adobe Analytics on and native apps

Advanced-level proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Familiarity with the Web Development Lifecycle (planning, design, development, testing, deployment) is critical for understanding how analytics tags fit into the broader development process.

A good understanding of front-end development languages and frameworks.

A strong motivation to enhance developer productivity and the customer experience indicates a mindset focused on optimization, efficiency, and user-centric solutions.

Proven experience working with Jira boards, including setting up Kanban or Scrum boards , managing workflows, and tracking task progress in an Agile environment.

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and how they integrate with Jira.

Ability to create and manage product backlogs, prioritize tasks, and break down projects into manageable pieces.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues that may block project progress.

Experience with p roject management tools (e.g., Confluence, Slack) and a strong understanding of how Jira integrates with these tools.

Time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery of tasks.

Soft Skills :

A highly motivated self-starter with exceptional attention to detail. Able to effectively multitask and prioritize competing demands while ensuring project deadlines are met, with a strong understanding of project management principles.

Proficient in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including product teams.

Skilled in developing and nurturing professional relationships. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, using strong interpersonal skills to resolve issues and collaborate effectively with others.

Capable of working autonomously when required, but also an enthusiastic team player, contributing meaningfully to collective goals and supporting team success.

Previous experience in the e-commerce sector facilitates a smooth transition into roles that demand knowledge of digital commerce, customer engagement, and e-commerce platforms.

Equipped with excellent problem-solving abilities, able to address challenges with creative and effective solutions.

Outstanding communication skills, enabling clear, concise, and persuasive dialogue with various stakeholders and team members.
