POSITION SUMMARY
Journeyperson Electricians possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, lighting, power sources and communications. With shops in Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, Bonnyville, and Saskatoon, the E&I team works on local projects as well as site projects located throughout Western Canada. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. Note : This posting will be used to collect applications to fill current openings as well as anticipated future openings. Future openings are anticipated but not guaranteed. - Must possess a valid Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certificate
- Industrial / energy experience required
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layouts of industrial electrical equipment installationsInstall, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical componentsTest electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistanceMaintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactorsMaintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systemsTroubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devicesConduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance recordsMay install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
