Payroll & Benefits Specialist - 12 month contract
Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada | Salary: CA$65,000.00-CA$75,000.00
Responsibilities
- Participate in implementation projects, including analysis, configuration, validation and problem solving.
- Maintain subject matter expertise regarding regulations and compliance requirements. Stay current with agency updates, association publications, attend compliance training and participate in best practice meetings/seminars.
- Undertake research to identify legislative updates impacting payroll compliance.
- Be a “go-to” resource for both internal and external users.
- Assist Payroll teams with more complex support cases.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years experience with Canadian Payroll.
- Strong knowledge of federal/provincial employment laws in Canada.
- Experience with US Payroll a plus.
- Strong research skills including analysis of information from different sources.
- A self-directed team player: collaborative, seeks input, accepts and incorporates feedback from others, freely offers assistance.
- Strong organization, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
