The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL) is a Crown corporation responsible for overseeing the Canadian federal interests in four international bridge crossings between Canada and the United States.

Its mandate is to provide the highest level of stewardship so that the international bridges and associated structures are safe and efficient for users.

FBCL owns, manages and operates international bridges and associated structures in Sault Ste. Marie, Point Edward, Lansdowne (Thousand Islands) and Cornwall, Ontario.

The Security & Administrative Analyst is responsible for security and administrative functions geared towards maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public and employees by monitoring premises, bridge operations, security and access control systems.

Essential Qualifications :

• Diploma (2 years) from a recognized post-secondary educational program in Emergency Response Management, Emergency Communications, Security Program or another specialty related to the duties of the position and / or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Minimum of two years of leadership experience;
• Minimum 2 years’ security related experience, with specifically a minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume information environment such as switchboard operator, and operations center / call center environment and / or similar environment;
• Prior experience in crisis response and management required;
• Demonstrated ability to accurately make critically important decisions with little time or information under pressure;
• Excellent grasp of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and programs; must be able to navigate menus and perform logic-based searches of data rapidly and effectively;
• Prior experience in the proficient use of Genetec, and / or other physical security software;
• Demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from a set of observations or facts is required;
• Ability to interact effectively at various professional levels and across diverse cultures required;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time in a fast paced environment required;
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills to diverse audiences, using multiple communication tools;
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and high motivation level focused on success;
• Proven ability to maintain a professional and calm demeanor, even under high pressure / stress;
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time (the entire shift) without becoming distracted or complacent;
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and troubleshooting skills required;
• Adaptability : capacity to adapt to new situations and settings and to tolerate change well required;
• Ability to obtain and maintain secret security clearance required;
• Ability to demonstrate and maintain bilingual English and French ( Bilingual - CBC ) levels required.
