Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage the end-to-end process of negotiation and contracting with internal and potential clients when applicable, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary documentation;
  • Coordinate and facilitate the logistics of business development activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, and arranging travel arrangements when required;
  • Conduct direct sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, and nurturing client relationships within assigned territories or markets (up to 20%);
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine business development tools and resources, such as sales playbooks, templates, and databases, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Support the business development team in research and analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and client needs, providing actionable insights and recommendations;
  • Provide administrative support for key account management activities, including monitoring client satisfaction, facilitating contract renewals, and addressing any customer concerns or issues;
  • Provide administrative support for the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, negotiations, and contracts in the company’s CRM system, ensuring data integrity and accessibility;
  • Assist in the preparation of regular business development performance reports, tracking key metrics and providing insights for strategic decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • MSc or PhD in science with at least 3 years of experience in industry;
  • Experience in drug discovery or CRO environment, an asset;
  • Knowledge of drug development process;
  • Ability to travel occasionally;
  • Highly organized;
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to work independently and balance multiple assignments;
  • Highly skilled communicator and listener with a customer focus;
  • The ability to present a positive image of NuChem Sciences at outside events, including business functions, industry conferences and professional association meetings, etc;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record for working in a highly collaborative, results-oriented environment;
  • Ability to multi-task across projects and manage priorities.
