Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Junior Civil Design Technologist to join our team in Winnipeg. You will be supporting and contributing to the delivery of multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects and will work with engineers, technologists, and support staff to provide engineering services to a variety of public and private sector clients.

The core requirements of this role are strong technical capabilities using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drawing production and design, as well as working with survey, LiDAR, and GIS datasets. Field support work will be a secondary requirement to the role, completed as directed or required.

Reporting to the Manager of the Water Group, in the Winnipeg Water Division, you will join a dynamic, high-performance team.

Job Requirements

What you will bring :

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Design Drafting Technician, or similar program, from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • 0-5 years experience in design and drafting, some preference given to those with more than one year, but new graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Experience with field work such as topographic survey, condition assessments, and construction inspection is an asset
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Experience in MS Office Suite (Especially Word and Excel)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license
  • Willingness and ability for short term travel as required
