Responsibilities
- Ensure that Trican's core value, "Safe equipment and operations" is the priority in all activities.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles are maintained to Trican’s mechanical and appearance standards.
- Ensure all necessary unit information and documentation is maintained according to Company and National Safety Code requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety Code, ESG, all client policies and regulations.
- Oversee the use and spend with third-party maintenance and parts suppliers.
- Ensure the appropriate personnel, training, equipment, technical expertise, safeguards, and inventories are in place to operate in a safe and efficient manner with support from local Base Managers.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as forecasting future expenditures.
- Anticipate potential setbacks with personnel, equipment, job, and industry matters while supplying proactive solutions.
- Stay current with emerging trends regarding industry equipment.
- Proactively encourage suggestions and feedback from employees on new perspectives to improve working conditions, employee safety, procedures, and operational practices.
- Oversee the manufacturing of new or the rebuilding of old equipment.
- Advise senior management on a regular basis on department updates and what could impact the Operations world. Also provide high level equipment summaries for all service lines regularly.
- Oversee International shipments and cross border requirements.
- Travel to Trican and Third-Party offices and shops regularly.
Experience & Skills :
- 10 years experience in a related role
- 5 years managerial experience
- Supply Chain Diploma or related discipline would be an asset
- Safe driving skills; proof of valid driver’s licence and updated abstract will be requested
- Experience in oil and gas is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills conveyed in a professional manner when interacting with employees, management and customers
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques

Working Conditions :
- Regular office hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
- Must be flexible with above hours based on travel and business demands
- Willingness to travel to all Trican locations on a regular basis
- Must live near base of employment
