Job Title :  Quality Assurance SpecialistLocation :  G3 Saskatoon WestThe Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist assists the Director, QA to ensure that all facilities adhere to G3’s corporate standards relating to grain handling, sampling, grading and cleaning processes. This position assists the Director, QA in ensuring that employees at all locations are properly trained in the use of grading and lab equipment so that grain is graded and blended fairly and is profitable. Key Responsibilities : Model and ensure universal adherence to corporate health and safety policies, environmental standards and industry regulatory requirements Assist in training G3 employees in grain grading procedures and use of grain grading and lab equipment Assist in monitoring ship to specification goals and standards Participate in developing QA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and training Identify opportunities for G3 to increase profitability and reduce risks through QA processes Assist Director, QA to provide training on grain grading regulations as well as perform audit procedures and functions Assist with investigating all unload discrepancies between inland elevators and terminals Document and track employee grading level and development plan at all G3 facilities (elevators and terminals) Grade round robin samples and document results to provide feedback / training to employees Conduct facility visits to observe and ensure correct grading processes are followed Verify facility grading equipment is operating in manufacturer operating specifications annually Assist Director, QA in providing training to G3 regarding regulatory requirements Perform grain audits for G3 as required and train employees in audit procedures Order or replace all equipment needed for all inland elevators and terminals Participate in the development and implementation new grain grading guides as needed by crop year Assist with all locations to ensure grading equipment is repaired correctly Participate in the development of forms and instructions as it pertains to QA Assist in ensuring the LV control is standardized regarding grade determinants Ensure company is capturing pertinent information in Sample Manager system Calibrate grading equipment as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications : Minimum 5 years of related experienceBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Level 3 grain inspector training by Canadian Grain Commission is an asset If you are looking for a flexible work-life balance, a competitive salary and benefits package and an opportunity to grow your career, G3 will give you this opportunity.
