Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organising, evaluating, and monitoring the progress of projects throughout their cycle.
- Support in managing contract scope and change orders with the client.
- Help plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones to meet established schedules.
- Assist in managing and monitoring agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Aid in scheduling manpower and equipment for the projects.
- Support the development and implementation of quality control programmes.
- Assist in preparing progress reports and issuing progress schedules to clients.
- Help establish and manage project budgets.
- Assist in hiring and supervising the activities of staff and subcontractors on the projects.
- Ensure safe and efficient operations while meeting client schedules and requirements.
- Facilitate communication and coordination of work externally with client contacts and internally with various operating and supporting departments.
- Maintain and grow client relationships by providing exceptional service.
- Participate in the estimating and tendering process.
Requirements
- Relevant project management training or certification (PMP designation or equivalent is an asset).
- Experience in a related field, such as Electrical Journeyman, Job Lead, Technologist, or Engineer, is preferred.
- Prior experience in managing projects in industrial facilities, high voltage substations, or electric utilities is an asset.
- Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint in a project management capacity is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of high voltage electrical equipment and substation construction is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
- Excellent organisational and computer skills, with the ability to assist in planning and executing project work safely and efficiently.
- Valid Driver’s License & Driver’s Abstract required.
