Position Summary :
The TADH pharmacy department delivers comprehensive medication management services across the entire hospital, encompassing drug distribution and clinical pharmacy support. With a steadfast commitment to patient care, safety, and continuous professional development, the department plays a crucial role in optimizing therapeutic outcomes.
Pharmacy technicians are integral to the daily operations of medication management, ensuring the highest standards of excellence in all aspects of the drug distribution systemat TADH. They are responsible for receiving medication orders, preparing, dispensing, compounding, purchasing, receiving, and managing inventory, as well as collaborating with a diverse range of healthcare professionals. In their role of medication reconciliation, pharmacy technicians interview patients and document Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMH). Additionally, they ensure the accurate preparation and verification of unit dose medications, intravenous admixtures, and chemotherapy doses, in strict accordance with established pharmacy department procedures and NAPRA standards.
