Job description

We are partnered with one of Guelph's well respected manufacturers. Known for commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join their team. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary :

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal productivity, and maintaining a safe and quality-focused work environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, meet production schedules, and implement strategies for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of production operations, including planning, scheduling, quality control, and cost management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall quality and performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams to meet and exceed operational goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of raw materials and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to establish operational goals and contribute to achieving company objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
  • Manage and maintain equipment to ensure operational reliability and performance.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and production planning.
  • Proficiency in modern ERP systems and operational tools.
  • Strong understanding of quality and safety protocols.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
