Overall Accountability
The Indigenous Wellness Worker provides counselling support to students and families to increase the student’s chances of success by developing positive skills that assist them in managing issues and events impacting their functioning. The Indigenous Wellness Worker is accountable for the development and facilitation of interventions designed to foster and promote stable home and community relationships. Utilizing systemic approaches, the Indigenous Wellness Worker enhances students social/emotional wellbeing in home and school environments by establishing settings that promote mental health and wellness.
