Senior Accountant (Consolidations)

We are seeking a dedicated professional to work with a prominent client in the mining industry. Responsibilities :

  • Participate in the monthly consolidation of the client’s Product Groups.
  • Train and guide team members to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Prepare and deliver training programs for internal teams.
  • Analyze consolidated financial statements to ensure they meet all stakeholder requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management.
  • Provide guidance on Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and other accounting practices to enhance performance.
  • Ensure compliance with the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) and support internal / external auditors during SOX and substantive audits.
  • Drive process improvements using data analytics and digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams across global operations.
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in consolidation within a large, multinational, multi-currency organization.
  • Bilingual in English and French to support daily collaboration with international teams.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and experience in preparing consolidated statements of cash flows.
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of accounting for financial assets and liabilities is an asset.
  • SAP experience is beneficial.
  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities, including variance analysis.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
