JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Assistant prepares and distributes colour standard. In this role, you will be responsible for the accuracy and organization, supporting our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality flexible packaging.
JOB TASKS:
- Collects stub rolls or sample bags from production departments
- Cuts poly samples for filing as requested by the customer
- Prepares, maintains, and distributes colour standards
- Review and validates COA (Certificate of analysis) for raw material from suppliers to ensure product is within specifications
- Performs other duties as required by the Manager/Supervisor
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Abides by all Emmerson Packaging ’s Management System policies, follows procedures, work instructions and other requirements including adherence to EH&S Act regulations.
- Obligation to take any necessary steps/actions to continue adherence to the Management System (quality and environmental). If the necessary steps are outside assigned authority, there is an obligation to bring the issue to his/her supervisor.
COMPETENCIES:
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs
- Must have proven ability to multi-task effectively
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have a demonstrated strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy; detail-oriented
- Must have good interpersonal skills (people skills)
REQUIRMENTS:
- Complete testing per WIN_0069 – General Hiring Practice Guidelines
- Secondary school (High School) diploma, or equivalent
PREFERRED:
- Experience working in the flexographic printing industry
