Senior Reporting Accountant

Our Calgary client is seeking a Senior Reporting Accountant. This role supports internal and external financial reporting, including quarterly and annual reports. The position prepares accurate financial information that follows IFRS and regulatory standards, works with external auditors, and collaborates with teams such as Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Operations.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Support external reporting, including quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A, and regulatory filings.
• Lead elements of the month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Research and document accounting treatment for complex or non-routine transactions and new accounting standards.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Operations to improve reporting accuracy, controls, and processes.

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public company reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and public company reporting requirements.
• Experience working with external auditors.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP and consolidation system experience is an asset.
• Experience in asset‑intensive industries or public accounting (Big 4/national firm) preferred.
