Job description

Grower – Strawberries

Competitive salary & full executive package

British Columbia (Relocation package and expenses included)

Role

As a Grower, you will oversee the planning and execution of all greenhouse operations for strawberry production. You will ensure high-quality standards and cost-effective operations while maintaining a disease- and pest-free crop. Reporting directly to the Head Grower, you will be responsible for producing premium strawberries in alignment with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage crop work planning and execution.
  • Ensure all processes meet quality and cost-effectiveness standards.
  • Oversee annual crop transitions and greenhouse operations.
  • Train and support staff while maintaining team performance.
  • Monitor climate, irrigation, and pest management systems.
  • Maintain records and adhere to safety and food safety protocols.

Requirements

  • At least three years of hydroponic growing experience.
  • Horticulture / Greenhouse certification.
  • Pesticide license (required).
  • Knowledge of horticultural pest and disease identification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and train teams.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and data analysis.
