Summary :
Reporting to the E-commerce & Data Analytics Manager, the Data Analyst is responsible for the analysis of omnichannel sales, performance, and behavioral data. This position will require a technical skillset that includes daily use of SQL, DAX (Microsoft Power BI), and Python. This role requires an entrepreneurial outlook as we continue to find new ways to interpret and communicate actionable insights to key business stakeholders.
Location :
This position is a hybrid role that allows for 2 days of remote work and 3 days in the office. The office is located at 25 De Beats Street, Winnipeg, MB.
Responsibilities :
- Build data visualization dashboards, tools, and infrastructure (Microsoft Power BI) that allow for the sharing of key metrics across multiple business groups.
- Curate datasets from SQL databases to analyze and provide answers to a wide range of business inquiries.
- Write codes to aid in data extraction and automation using APIs from internal and external sources.
- Develop sales and KPI forecasts for omni-campaigns and eCommerce initiatives in collaboration with multiple departments.
- Perform merchandise and product forecast analysis, transaction data analysis, seasonal merchandise demand analysis, and assist with customer lifetime value management reporting.
- Support the digital marketing and eCommerce teams with actionable insights from data collected from tools that support social media, email, on-site personalization, and paid media.
- Translate raw data and marketing results into easy-to-understand findings, including preparation of executive summaries and business reviews.
- Aid in data validation to ensure accuracy of shared visualizations and datasets
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Post-secondary education in computer science, statistics, or equivalent work experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role2+ years of proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analystA minimum of 1-year experience working with SQL and PythonDemonstrated experience with BI Tools (MS Power BI preferred)Experience gathering data from varying sources using APIsExperience interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniquesGoogle Cloud Platform experience is an assetStrong analytical, problem-solving, and creative solution-building mindsetAbility to translate data into actionable insightsStrong knowledge of and experience with databasesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize work with good time-management skillsProficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visual Basic)Adapts to change in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentBass Pro Shops & Cabela’s welcomes applications from people with disabilities.
