Intermediate Architectural Technologist

Our client, an established Edmonton known for being at the forefront of educational design, are looking for an Architectural Technologist to join their growing team.
This is a multidiscipline firm that pride themselves on their collaborative approach, and endeavor to be culturally aware and open to new ideas on every project they work on.
In addition to a strong emphasis on educational design, other project types include healthcare, multi-family, institutional, First Nations and civic and community centers.
Responsibilities :
- Working on projects from conceptual design to the detailed preparation of final construction drawings
- Prepare detailed drawings, in accordance with industry standards and code requirements
- Dealing directly with the production and coordination of documents in collaboration with your colleagues as well as external consultants to prepare high quality coordinated documents
- Drafting, contract administration, and detailing
- Assist with resolving difficult operating tasks or drawing production problems
- Accountable for effective coordination and communication with partners, clients, and consultants
- Keeping up to date on construction practices, products, codes and technology
- Understanding and adhering to the fees and resources available for each project
- Assist with coordination through all phases of projects
- Mentoring Junior Technologists
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years as a Technologist and have the same / similar project experience to the firm (Institutional experience is a strong asset)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Architecture or Technical program
- LEED AP accreditation and experience on LEED Certified projects is a strong asset
- Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD
- Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision, coordinate consultants and work directly with clients
- Strong time management and organizational skills with an ability to work within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary $65- 75K (dependent on experience) + bonus, a comprehensive benefits package, flexible working hours and the ability to work from home 2 days a week.
