As the Senior Actuarial Consultant, you will support the reserving side of Corporate Actuarial. You will collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and lead complex projects to deliver unique solutions to ensure the reserve adequacy of property and casualty (P&C) lines of business.

How you will create impact :

• Contributing to regulatory and strategic reserving analyses using actuarial models, various data sources and programming languages.
• Leading and supporting the refinement, maintenance and documentation of reserving practices through process improvements and model and reserving software integration.
• Analyzing the needs of business partners, researching multiple data sources and identifying actuarial requirements to design innovative solutions for complex challenges.
• Building and implementing detailed project plans, performing peer reviews and providing direction and expertise to team members to facilitate their development.
• Coaching and mentoring team members to facilitate their development and fostering a team environment focused on collaboration and innovation.
• Efficiently communicating complex actuarial and financial concepts while adapting narratives to various audiences.

Expected salary / hourly range $104, 717 - $174,529 The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to : local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.” Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and / or business performance, or other business metrics.
