General Manager
- Supports GMs to meet performance obligations as governed by the Project Agreements. Provides oversight to the operations team in the development and implementation of action plans to remediate gaps.
- Supports GMs to ensure compliance to all legislated, corporate and industry-related requirements and guidelines including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, and building standard requirements
- Collaborates with clients and internal stakeholders to identify project opportunities and priorities, and ensuring the General Managers are accountable to the EDFS PM team in project tracking and delivery
- Ultimate accountability for delivery of budget and profit targets. Assists GMs in the creation of annual budgets, and monthly financial reviews, providing support as needed to ensure operations meet these objectives.
- Responsible to recruit, hire, and performance manage direct reports. Provides mentoring and coaching to staff, completes performance evaluations and prepares staff development, training and succession plans.
Supports GMs in their pursuit of their direct reports.
- Direct reports include 5 General Managers
- Director of Operations is expected to provide daily remote support and visit sites regularly as needed
Is this role right for you?
- Post-secondary education preferably in business administration or operations management
- 10+ years of management, preferably in a contract services environment including previous Account management responsibilities
- Expert level knowledge in the P3 model management.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Demonstrated experience at client relationship management with demonstrated ability in building and managing relationships at the senior management level
- Demonstrated experience at managing service delivery and meeting service delivery obligations
- Highly-skilled at managing budgets
- Highly-developed communication, influence, persuasion and negotiation skills
- High degree of client service orientation and sense of urgency
- Highly-skilled at leading and engaging a team of individuals
- Expert level knowledge of health and safety requirements. Possesses a high degree of safety mindset
- Possesses a continuous improvement and quality mindset along with a desire to continuously seek and incorporate innovative practices and technologies in order to deliver value to the client
