JLL is hiring a Building Operator, Midtown to join the maintenance team at one of newest client's Midtown commercial portfolio. The Operator will responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of, HVAC related equipment, building operations, lights / tubes, ballast, light lenses, ceiling tiles, systems furniture, plumbing, and electrical / mechanical systems and equipment.

You will be part of a 3 person team and participate in the on-call rotation (once every 3 weeks). The shift will start between 8am-9am and end 5-6pm.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :

  • Respond to tenant and user service calls and complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades : carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
  • Provide assistance as directed to other building operations staff in the areas of preventative maintenance, electrical maintenance, etc.
  • Perform water treatment testing and analysis, adjust and modify chemical feed to ensure proper levels are being maintained.
  • Act as relief for other similar positions whose incumbent may be absent from time-to-time.
  • Complete custodial housekeeping tasks in the mechanical / electrical areas.
  • Perform other related duties as required and reasonably assigned from time-to-time.

WHAT YOU BRING :

  • 3 years' experience in building repairs / operations
  • Completion of BES certificate or a trade school are an asset
  • Basic Interpersonal skills demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service excellence.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to comprehend an issue and resolve it and complete logs.
  • Aptitude to learn state-of-the-art Building Automation Systems in order to be trained for the next level.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • React swiftly and accurately to crisis situations.
  • Respond to unexpected emergency call-backs if problems occur from time-to-time
  • Ability to perform the requirements of the job with minimal supervision and complete the assigned tasks per agreed deadlines.
