The Team
The Integrated Child and Family Services Team in Nelson is comprised of four Child Protection Workers and a Child Youth and Family Support Worker all of whom are committed to the well-being of children youth and families in the Nelson and West Kootenay area. This team works collaboratively with Children and Youth Mental Health Children and Youth with Support Needs Resources Collaborative Practice and Decision-Making and Youth Probation to support vulnerable children youth and families in this service delivery area. The team is supported by an administrative team provincial & federal government agencies and other Indigenous and non-Indigenous community partners.
The Role
As the Team Leader you will provide direction leadership and support to staff guiding them on interpreting Acts regulations standards and procedures. The team leader plays a critical role in supporting collaborative work with community partnersYou will plan implement and manage a team-orientated approach to ministry programs and services ensuring compliance with legislation regulations and policies. About this Position :
This is a temporary opportunity until June 30 2026. This opportunity may be extended or become permanent. This temporary opportunity is not eligible for travel status or relocation expense reimbursement.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
