Schedule

The successful candidate will work Wednesday 0800am-1600pm (8 hours), and Thursday/Friday 0800am -1800pm (10 hours). Schedules may change due to operational needs. 48_Budget Created with Sketch.

Responsibilities

Patient care

Carrying out a developed patient exercise program. Gait and balance training. Conducting exercise groups. Application of modalities within the scope of practice. ADL training. Implementing individual and group treatment programs. Designing and making assistive devices to improve ADL and cognitive functioning. 48_Performance Created with Sketch.

Performance

Set-up and management of the equipment. Cleaning and upkeep of equipment and therapy space. Administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited OTA/PTA education program in Canada. Related previous experience or sound knowledge of the rehabilitation/physiotherapy/occupational assistant role. Previous seating experience would be an asset. Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Office; experience with Meditech is an asset. 48_Creative Created with Sketch.

Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.
