Job description

As a lecturer in Game and Level Design, you are responsible for teaching courses to students, creating course syllabi, correcting students' assignments. Among the skills and notions transmitted, we find :

General Video Game Architect
Game Designer
Level Designer
Game Narrative Designer

Status : Contract – Summer 2024 session

Location : Lasalle College, Montreal, Quebec

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan class sessions;

Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner;

Design formative and summative assessments using the competency-based approach;

Administer and correct assessments;

Monitor each student and encourage success;

Be available to students in order to promote their development of the skill targeted by the course;

All other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

You must be legally entitled to work in Canada;

Hold a university certificate or diploma or a college diploma, with an option or concentration in the relevant discipline;

Teaching or have teaching experience in the discipline for one full semester within the last five (5) years;

Have practised a trade or profession related to the discipline or course in question for at least two (2) years.

Mastery :

Software Analysts (Agile / Scrum, System Modeling and Design Patterns);

Game Developers (Object-Oriented Programming);

Game designers (using Blender,Unity, Unreal Engine, 3DSMax, substance Painter / Designer).
