Intern / Mentor Lifeguard / Instructor I (Instructor Only)

The West Vancouver Community Services Department is currently seeking Casual Intern / Mentor Lifeguard / Instructor I (Swim Instructor only) to join our highly qualified team. The successful candidate will be responsible for lesson instruction for all age groups in swimming, including specialized areas. Additional responsibilities include performing basic maintenance functions and customer service.

The preferred candidate will possess :

• Considerable knowledge of swimming instruction techniques;
• Ability and experience as a swimmer;
• Ability to instruct all age groups and classes of swimmers (infants to adults)
• Ability to maintain required records;
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the public in a variety of situations;
